Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award
The winner of the 2010 MVP Award is dynamic Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel mid-courter Liana Barrett-Chase.
In her third year with the Southern Steel, Barrett-Chase has taken her game to the next level, breaking through as one of the most outstanding talents in the competition.
Known for her speed off the mark and agility around the court, the 1.68m pocket rocket has been a crucial playmaker in the Steel’s attack – her skills undoubtedly contributing to the team’s fourth-place finish this season.

The selection process
The voting period for the MVP Award begins in Round 1 and finishes at the conclusion of Round 14.

The Head Coach names the most outstanding player on court, using a 3, 2, 1 voting system with 3 being the best player on the court, 2 for the second and 1 for the third.
The player with the most points at the end of Round 14 is the ANZ Championship MVP
All votes are confidential until the end of the competition.
